Made in 2008 and consigned by the estate of the original owner, serial SW38629 has 28-inch barrels (vent rib with single bead, fixed IC/M, 2.75-inch chambers, ejectors). Features include an automatic safety and single select trigger. STOCK: The heavily-figured walnut takes form as a beavertail forend dressed with borderless checkering, ebony, ribbons and fleurs. The pistol grip butt follows suit and includes an initial shield (blank) and leather pad. ENGRAVING: The receiver has full coverage with a gold accents including a pointer (right), setter (left), brace of pheasants (bottom), dog bust (guard) and safety “S”. The surrounding bordered scroll extends over the lever, tang, guard, latch and chambers. The grip cap is also engraved “Grand American” in gold. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 6.0 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.5 inches, drops are 1.4 and 2.25 inches, and cast off is approximately .35-inch. CONDITION: Bores are strong and bright. Barrels are full on face. Ejectors ping with enthusiasm. Metal finish is approximately 99 percent. Wood is well over 95 percent, with a few instances of superficial rubbing, tiny impressions and a small finish void (left of serial on grip). INCLUSIONS: A leather takedown case with felt interior, maker’s label, snaps, oiler, cleaning tips and canvas cover is present and in excellent condition. The original paperwork is also present (as pictured) and indicates a purchase price of $31,000. The price is firm and layaway is available. $20,000 plus shipping.
