Ultra Light Arms Model 20 Rimfire Repeater .22 LR. Circa 1993, Melvin Forbes began taking orders for a special edition of 100 Ultra Light Arms rifles chambered in .22 LR. Customers had the option of ordering a single shot or a repeater, stainless steel or carbon steel barrel and selected the stock color. Rifles were serialed with the customer’s initials followed by “1 OF 100”. Delivery took significantly longer than anticipated (mostly due to the slow development of a dependable magazine) with single shots shipping first. A number of the customers who initially ordered a repeater relented and accepted a single shot instead, thus the repeaters are quite desirable. Consigned by the original owner as ordered in 1993 and shipped in 1995, serial DAB1OF100 is a repeater with a 22-inch stainless steel barrel, silver/gray stock, unique ULA three-position safety and a five-round magazine which presents cartridges in such a way they pass straight into the chamber rather than initially at an upward angle (thereby preventing distortion of the bullet). DIMENSIONS: Weight (with included 1-inch medium ring mounts) is 5.6 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.45 inches. CONDITION: Appears unfired. The bore is pristine. Metal finish is 99 percent, owing to the plumming of the bolt handle/knob common to these rifles. Stock finish is 100 percent. INCLUSIONS: The original Gun Guard hard case (no end label as these cases were vended) with its oversleeve and key, the ULA invoice and instruction papers are present. The price is firm and layaway is available. $3,500 plus shipping.
