Made in Italy and imported by William Larking Moore, serial 1023 has 24.75-inch barrels (rust blue, sculpted front sight base with hand-filed flat and brass-beaded blade, sculpted quarter rib with hand-filed flat and notched express leaf, ejectors). Features include a mechanical tang safety, mechanical triggers, scalloped color case receiver, splinter forend with wrap checkering and a pistol grip butt with scalloped cheek rest and recoil pad. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 15.0 inches. CONDITION: Bores are strong and bright, barrels full on face and the opening lever rests well right. Mechanics are positive and snappy. Barrel blue is approximately 98 percent with a scratch through the finish at the rear sight (left side). Receiver colors are vivid. Clear coat is approximately 90 percent with some tinning over the receiver and opening lever. The safety position designators (under the button) are highlighted with red and green. Wood is approximately 97 percent overall with a few minor impressions. CASE: A locking takedown canvas and leather hard case with maker’s label is present. Key and cleaning rod/tips are included.
