Outstanding custom Colt Commander .45 ACP, reimagined Officer’s-size finger groove frame, precision fits, Swenson, MMC, hard chrome, 99 percent

Superb custom Colt Series 80 Combat Commander .45 ACP. Made in 1983, serial FC02153 is a premium but unattributed build in the Behlert style. Features include a 4.25-inch barrel, stainless steel slide and steel (or stainless steel) frame. Custom features include a notched MMC front sight with red insert, low profile rear sight, squared trigger guard with finger hook and stippled face, long trigger shoe, Swenson thumb safety, contoured steel beavertail grip safety, recontoured finger groove frame with a partially stippled front strap, arched and stippled mainspring housing and a beveled magazine well. One six-round magazine is included. The frame, barrel, small parts and possibly the slide wear hard chrome. MARKINGS: Barrel and slide are hand-marked with partial serial number. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 2.2 pounds. CONDITION: The bore is pristine. Mechanical fits and relationships are precise. Metal finish is approximately 99 percent with but faint indications of handling.
