Hoenig custom Winchester pre-64 Model 70 .30-06. Serial 150664 wears the 24-inch factory barrel (custom front sight blade with serrated base, banded sling swivel stud, “plugged” rear boss dovetail). Features include an outstanding rust blue finish, polished raceway, Lyman receiver sight, reshaped and checkered bolt release button, checkered floor plate release button, coutoured bottom metal (ends) and tuned a trigger. STOCK: Coaxed from a blank with bold directional grain, dressings include 22 lines-per-inch checkering with Mullered borders, double crossbolts, thin/open grip, steel grip cap, scalloped pancake cheek rest, sling swivel studs and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Purpose made, the area under the aperture base is properly inletted. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.9 inches. CONDITION: The bore strong and bright. Metal finish is approximately 95 percent, the majority of the adjustment from thinning over the floor plate. Wood is approximately 98 percent.
