Serial 64816B has a 24-inch barrel (integral ramp with stippled face and brass-beaded blade, no evidence of rear sight dovetail), checkered bolt knob (two bordered teardrop panels), scalloped bases (medium one-inch Kimber of Oregon fixed rings) and a rust blue finish. One factory magazine is included. STOCK: Fashioned from walnut blank with broad, smoky grain, formalities include an ebony forend tip, outstanding 24 lines-per-inch wrap checkering with a partially Mullered border, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, inletted sling swivel studs with “Super Grade” swivels, steel butt plate with widow’s peak and a hand-rubbed oil finish. ENGRAVING: The trigger guard is dressed with a game scene (foraging squirrel) bordered by scroll, shading and an initial shield. Leafy vines rise from the knob checkering border and extend along the bolt handle. OPTIC: A Leupold M8-3x with Duplex reticle is positioned. CRAFTSMAN NOTES: The work is not signed or otherwise documented. The consignor believes the rifle was stocked by R.G. Owens and that the engraving was done by Jack Haugh. DIMENSIONS: Weight (inclusive of optic) is 7.0 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.6 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong with sharp rifling and light browning. Metal finish is approximately 80 percent, owing to thinning and light roughness near the muzzle. Wood crowds 90 percent. The optic is clear with shirttail rubbing on the lens coatings.
