Springfield Armory Omega 10mm. Released in advance of production as a writer sample per the included factory letter, this unique pistol has a matte finish (rather than polished). Made in 1987, serial NM30390 (slide serial A-1180128) has a 6-inch barrel (ported), flat top slide (fluted, blade front sight, adjustable rear sight), tuned trigger and Pachmayr grips. The original “briefcase”, extra .38 Super and .45 ACP ported barrels and a recoil spring are present. CONDITION: The bore is bright with what appears to be stubborn fouling. Metal finish is approximately 85 percent. Both .38 Super and .45 ACP barrels have great bores. The exterior finish of all three bores is tarnished. Slide locks open only when the existing magazine (marked .38 Super) is pressed upward. PROVENANCE: A Certificate of Authenticity signed by George Metcalf (brother) will be included.
