The Game of British East Africa by Captain C. H. Stigand. Published in 1909 by Cox, this extensive work relates as much to hunting as it does field observation and natural history. It is also ahead of its time in one respect, that being a discussion of hunter ethics. CONDITION: Overall fair-to-good. The exterior of the binding is very good, with a few cracks at the edges. Interior binding is cracking along some signature lines. A bookplate, stamp and some scattered pencil markings are present. The price is firm. $400 plus shipping.
