The Best of Colonel Townsend Whelen from the Amwell Press. Published in 1984 as a limited edition of 1,000 copies, this is number 30. More importantly, it is comprised of some of Whelen’s finest work on rifles, hunting what The Colonel reckoned it took to be a man. Bound in leather with gilded edges and dressed with a marker ribbon, it rests in a black slip. Condition remains excellent. The price is firm. $225 plus shipping.
