Serial A1470 wears 24-inch rust blued barrels with ramp front sight (standing silver bead and flip-up night bead), sling swivel stud, quarter rib with a windage-adjustable express blade (gold sighting line), integrated mounting system and ejectors. The rounded boxlock action is finished in brilliant color case and features a mechanical safety and articulated front trigger. Finely stocked in what appears to be Turkish walnut (dark, rich grain with complex figure), both splinter and butt are dressed with well-executed 26 lines-per-inch bordered checkering and finished with hand-rubbed oil. Additional appointments include a steel grip cap, pancake cheek rest with shadow line, inletted sling swivel stud and recoil pad with a leather face. ENGRAVING: The action, ramp, quarter rib, forend furniture, top lever, guard, tangs, grip cap, rear stud and screws wear a light bordering scroll. The initial oval on the guard remains vacant. OPTIC: A Kahles K 15i 1-5x24mm scope with an illuminated reticle rides in EAW single lever quick-release mounts. ACCURACY: A pair of included factory test targets show center-to-center spreads of .690 and .700 inches at 50 meters with 400-grain Hornady ammunition. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.2 pounds sans optic. Length-of-pull is 14.5 inches over the pad, drops are 1.5 and 2.0 inches, and cast off is approximately .50-inch. CONDITION: The bores are pristine, barrels fully on face, action tight and the mechanics proper. In fact, all aspects of mechanical operation retain showroom stiffness. Overall finish is nearly 100 percent, with only slight indications of handling. A one-owner rifle, it is known to be lightly fired and never afield. INCLUSIONS: Factory hard takedown case with cloth sleeves, two test targets and manuals for both the rifle and optic. The price is firm and layaway is available. $15,000 plus shipping.
