Sako AV .375 H&H Magnum. Specially prepared at the Sako factory in 1986 by Olavi Makela for a well-known American gunwriter and supported by documentation, serial number 598902 has been a favored firearm since the day it was delivered. While the rear sight appears to be the only custom feature, dry operation betrays the benefits of Mr. Makela’s attentions. Featuring a 24-inch barrel and factory synthetic stock, the rifle otherwise appears standard. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.0 pounds with rings and length-of-pull is 13.75 inches. Metal finish is at least 85 percent overall, with a few freckles along the barrel as well as thinning along the barrel and bottom metal. The stock shows wear from countless days afield and rates about 70 percent overall. The price is firm. $900 plus shipping.
