Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum. Made in 1958, serial 13857 is of the “flattop” configuration and sports the 6.5-inch barrel. It has not been converted to the transfer bar safety. ENGRAVING: The cylinder has been engraved to approximately 50 percent coverage in a fine sweeping floral and vine pattern, this in turn partially backed by a shaded punch dot field. The engraving is not signed. Additionally, a thin silver inlay has been added to the front sight ramp to serve as a defined aiming point. CONDITION: The bore is exceptionally strong and bright. Overall metal finish is at least 95 percent, with slight thinning to the front sight blade, a hint of holster wear at the muzzle and the barest hint of tarnish to the cylinder (left in the white). Grip panels are approximately 95 percent, with a few field impressions. An unmarked yellow/black box is included. The price is firm and layaway is available. $850 plus shipping.
