Jarrett Model 49 .338 RUM ( Remington Ultra Magnum ). Made in 2010 as a limited edition of 50 rifles with sequential serial numbers, this is the last rifle in the series (serial AHE50-50) and was auctioned by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to assist with funding their conservation efforts. Based on a Dakota Model 97 action, features include a 25.5-inch Jarrett barrel (.665-inch muzzle diameter), full-length Mauser claw extractor, integral bolt release lever, three position safety, scalloped bolt handle, cloverleaf tang and steel bottom metal with an inside-the-bow floorplate release. The premium synthetic stock has full-length pebbled texture, a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and beds with twin aluminum pillars. A RMEF medallion is recessed into the right butt. No box, papers or build information. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.5 inches. CONDITION: Appears unfired with no suggestion of a scope being mounted.
