Based on a barreled action made in 1949 serialized 110973, features include a 25-inch tapered heavy sporter barrel with original hooded front ramp sight and added island express Rigby-style rear sight with one fixed and four folding leaves (marked 200/300/400/500), barrel-mounted sling swivel stud, cloverleaf tang, carefully-polished internal surfaces, custom bolt release, recontoured bolt handle, tuned trigger and contoured bottom metal with Super Grade floor plate. Hoenig’s stock defines the American Classic style, having perfect lines and an ideal wrap-around checkering pattern running 24 lines-per-inch. A second recoil lug and cross bolt have been added for additional strength. The action is bedded at the rear lug. Rather than the common shadow line, the cheekpiece has a contoured border.
