Special features of this scaled dangerous game rifle include a 23-inch sporter weight barrel, ramp front sight with flip-up night bead, banded sling swivel stud, island express rear sight with notched express blade (windage adjustable), full-length claw extractor for true controlled-round feeding, three position wing safety, cloverleaf tang, integral bolt release and a drop box magazine with inside-the-bow floorplate release. Stocked in a superb AAA-walnut blank, accents include an ebony forend tip, wrap-around borderless checkering, steel grip cap, scalloped cheekpiece with shadow line and an inletted (Howell-type) sling swivel stud. Two minor rack impressions appear in the stock on either side of the barrel just below the forend tip. ACCURACY: Dated 12/3/07, the included factory test target shows three shots with a center-to-center spread of .790-inch from 180-grain Federal Power Shok Speer HotCor S.P. ammunition at a distance of 100 yards. A second test target from the same session shows a three-shot 50-yard group fired with the open sights measuring 1.17 inches and hitting dead center.
