Colt Single Action Army .38 Special. Made in 1956, serial number 2594SA is an early second generation revolver featuring a 5.5-inch barrel and plastic grips. CONDITION: The grips are stamped Colt and numbered to match the frame. The cylinder is marked “698”. The bore is stunning, strong and bright with no evidence of wear. Bluing is approximately 85 percent, with trace thinning to brown at the end of the ejector rod housing and backstrap, a turning ring and some micro scratches on the cylinder. Colors are vivid, with occasional spots of tarnish mostly on the top strap and loading gate. Grips are absent issue. Mechanics are proper, with four distinct notches, tight cylinder and smooth trigger pull. BOX: The one-piece black box with correct end label (blank serial) is in good to very good condition.
