Colt Single Action Army .45 Colt. Made in 1905, serial number 282607 has a 7.5-inch barrel. MARKINGS: Serial appears on frame, guard and grip. “.45 Colt” is on barrel left and the barrel has the single line address. A “T” appears on the left rear of the trigger guard, a triangular mark appears on the left front and “4583” is on the inside of the loading gate. What appears to be a double-struck “V” is on the front of the cylinder. The inside grip panels is blank. CONDITION: Bore is very good and quite bright, with a minor area of roughness near the muzzle. All hammer clicks are positive and the cylinder locks up tight. Barrel blue is about 75 percent, cylinder blue about 70 percent and grip frame blue about 60 percent. Frame colors are about 30 percent. Screws have good finish and clean slots. Grip panels are solid, with uniform wear and have small cracks on the inside around the screw holes. There is a small chip from the lower rear edge of the left grip panel. The price is firm and layaway is available. $7,000 plus shipping.
