Based on a magnum-length barreled action wearing serial number 123832 from 1949, features include a 25-inch heavy tapered barrel with integral hooded front sight ramp topped with a brass-beaded blade, barrel-mounted sling swivel stud, folding rear sight, contoured front base, shaped and checkered bolt release, blind cloverleaf tang and tuned trigger. Stocked from an exceptional blank of claro walnut with rampaging fiddle and rich colors, accents include an ebony forend tip with widow’s peak, fine wrap-around checkering in a generous bordered point pattern, cross bolt with ebony plugs, steel grip gap, blind inletted sling swivel stud and a beveled cheekpiece with shadow line. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.0 pounds with mounts. Length-of-pull is 13.7 inches and drops are approximately 1.3 and 2.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Metal finish (rust blue) is nearly 100 percent. Wood is 99 percent, with only the slightest indications of handling. The rear sight blade rotates past what would be a customary stopping point.
